CONTENT UPDATE 29 – REFORGED
The 29th major content update to AoC is now available!
This one brings a host of changes, fixes, as well as new content and features.
The planned release for an additional content mod addon for AoC has been put on ice for now, as we’ve been able to optimize and free up space on the existing mod. This allows us to add the content that was otherwise planned for this addon directly into the main mod without the need to download an additional mod.
Without further ado, let’s get into what’s coming in this update!
KEY FEATURES
- New Core Skills Feature (Important to note for Server Admins)
This feature expands on the current Skill System with 6 new Core Skills (Constitution, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma). This system serves as an alternative to the Attributes System, where players will be able to progress individual passive skills through a “Learn By Doing” approach. This system will be enabled by default, so for any servers that do not want to use this feature, simply disable the Core Skills setting within the Skill System category of the AoC Server Settings. Note that all attributes for players will be reset back to 0 as long as this system is enabled. However, players will be able to easily redistribute their attribute points if the Core Skills are disabled at any point throughout the game. - New Reforge Kits
The new Reforge Kits will now be the main repair item from Armors, Utilities, and Weapons alike when the Dynamic Repair System server setting is enabled. This is instead of having to use Repair Kits, as it caused a lot of confusion with how to apply them correctly. The Reforge Kits are also rebalanced and easier to obtain than before. - New Admin Panel & Admin Features
This update also brings a host of new Admin features. Admins will now be able to set Main Faction for individual players, adjust their Reputation for different factions, set Legacy Level, and more! - New Feature: Citizenship
Players will now be able to change their Main Faction using the new Citizenship feature. This can be accessed from the AoC In-game Menu. Once players unlock a new faction, they’ll be able to switch between them within their respective alliance. Note that servers that allow players to have all factions unlocked, this feature also support switching Alliances. - Tavern Support
Support has now been added for AoC NPCs to arrive at your tavern. Expect to see your Faction NPCs visiting, allowing you to unlock them using Gold Coins. This includes Fighter Thralls from T1 to T5 and Worker Thralls. We’ve also added support for Merchants to come visit your tavern as well as Key Characters from each faction, offering Quests, etc.! - Rift System
The Rift Gates have now been updated with the option to Set Home. This will allow players to use the Return Home destination to travel back to their base if a Rift Gate has been built. Additionally, many Rift Destinations have been updated and improved. - New Client Settings
Players are now able to customize various parts of their HUD, including Display/Color/Size for XP, Skill XP, RP, and the Soul Essence Bar can now be repositioned and resized. - New Server Settings
Many new Server Settings have been added, as well as various updates to existing ones. Admins can now set Attribute Bonuses for Health, Armor, Damage, etc. Note that these will also work with the Core Skills. The Intended values set for each of these are done with the Core Skills system in mind, so feel free to tweak these to fit the preferences of your server.
